The normal Galaxy S8 has a 5.8-inch display, while the S8+ gets a huge 6.2-inch screen. Both phones have the same 1440 x 2960 resolution Super AMOLED panel, and they look fantastic.

So, what about the hardware then? Any big differences here? Well, actually, no. But that’s not a bad thing. the fastest phones available right now. Both the S8 and S8+ are flagship devices, and pack in the latest hardware and software.
They will almost certainly provide the smoothest performance you can buy, at least for now. First of all, the S8 and S8+ will have different processors depending on which country you’re in.
Those in the USA will be getting Qualcomm’s latest Snapdragon 835 chip, which comes with a load of new technology such as 25% better energy efficiency over the Snapdragon 820, Bluetooth 5 support, better graphics, and of course a more powerful octa-core CPU.
Both devices continue with the metal and glass sandwich design and both have a dual-edge “Infinity” display, rather than one being flat and one being curved as was the case with the Galaxy S7 and S7 edge.
Galaxy S8 vs S8+ Price: Which phone is better value for money?
The Galaxy S8 will go on sale for 70.7K INR on April 28 while the S8+ will arrive on the same date for 79.9K INR. Considering the S8+ simply offers a bigger screen, we’re not sure the extra cost is really worth it.

There are very slim bezels at the top and bottom of the displays on both devices, no physical home button on the front of either and both have a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor to the right of the camera lens. They are also both IP68 waterproof and they both offer USB Type-C and a 3.5mm headphone jack.
The Samsung Galaxy S8 and S8+ both have the same 12-megapixel Duo Pixel rear snapper as their predecessors, featuring an f/1.7 aperture and OIS, while the front-facing camera resolution has been bumped up on both devices to 8-megapixels and autofocus has also been added.

The Samsung Galaxy S8 and S8+ both launch on Android Nougat with TouchWiz on top so the software experience is be identical. It’s similar to the Nougat experience on the Galaxy S7 but it adds a few extra features, including some from the Note 7.
One of the new features is Bixby, Samsung’s AI system that will be available on both the Galaxy S8 and S8+, naturally, but it won’t launch in all countries straight away.
There is a dedicated button on the left side of both devices that will launch Bixby however and rather than just a rival to Google Assistant, Bixby hopes to take things that little bit further.
Can I take my Galaxy S8 in the shower?
Usually just leave on the edge with shampoo and such but sometimes use it while showering, never usually in direct jet though. That said, nothing is perfect and you could end up with an issue, but that’s what insurance is for. Yes but you’ll get a moisture warning notification.
How long can S8 stay underwater?
The IP68 dust and water resistance ingress Protection rating means your device is completely protected against dust, and it is water-resistant in up to 5 feet of water for up to 30 minutes.
Can you take underwater pictures with Galaxy S8?
It would actually be silly to expect that from a phone when no other camera used to capture images underwater is waterproof itself. With the proper underwater housing and accessories, it is possible to take pictures underwater with a smartphone without the risk of damaging it.
